Back to Huntsman

Well we came back up to Salt Lake yesterday.  We are staying with Denise and Lee. Curt just didn't want to stay in the trailer another time.  Some day we would like to use the trailer to actually travel and he doesn't want to think of it as a Cancer trailer. Denise and Lee have a big basement and was able to find a bed so we feel very comfortable there.  Comfortable enough for Curt to steal Lee's recliner to watch TV!  Today we went up to Huntsman and started the battery of tests at 7:30  AM.  We finished at 4 today.  Big day.  We went to Geralyns house after to visit them.  Tomorrow I will go to Ginell's to  help her bottle tomatoes.  Should be fun. We will be talking to the doctor on Thursday to find out the treatment schedule.  We would like to hear that the cancer is stopped but realistically we will be here for 3 to 4 weeks.  I'll be in touch.  You be in touch too.  We love having the support during this trying time.

Salt Lake bound

I know I haven't written lately but we have just been very busy here at home.  The kiln is almost done and is looking great.  We are rushing around so we can get everything done before we head back up to Huntsman.  I have started back driving my bus and getting all my maps done so a relief driver can drive while I am gone.  I have also placed seven foreign exchange students so I have been very busy having orientations and getting all the paper work done that comes with the job.  My car is still down and so we won't even worry about getting it fixed until we get back home. Curt drug out the net that we have to put over the pond while the leaves are falling.  It makes it so much easier to keep the leaves out of the pond that way.  When the last leaf falls we take the net off.  It is sort of a chore to put it on though! I will try to update the blog on the kiln, and pond.   We skipped town today wanting to find some pine nuts.  We didn't find any so we looked for crystals instead.  The weather was beautiful and we had a great day.  Curt helped Tishanna yesterday  on her VW.  We thought she had seized up the engine for good.  It was running today so maybe its not as bad as we thought.

Fire Sun

Sunrise at 7:o6 A.M.

Fire Fire Every where!

Some of the pictures are of the sun through the smoke of the mill flat fire on Pine Valley mountain.  The smoke has been very thick here and it has played havoc with our allergies. I guess  that I am finally accepting the fact that I have to go back to work.  Driving the bus has always been good for me and kindergarten started on Tuesday.  I am sending some sunrise pictures that I took while driving my bus in the valley.  I thought they turned out pretty good.  Curt is still working on the kiln and it is looking better all the time.  W#e got the first schedule from Huntsman.  Hate to think about going back but is will be good to  get this part over with.   He has his first appointment on the 29th of Sept. They will start his treatment on that Friday.  I don't know when they will actually do the stem cell transplant but I will need to know exactly when, so I can be somewhere else! We will just have to go that road when we get there.  Enjoy the smoky sunrise.
